The Catch in Longview

The fish and shrimp is good. The fries here are not good at all. There are not crunchy and don’t taste fresh. Taste like they fry them a second time or something. If they fix the fry issue it will be a great place to eat.

Always love the food here! The shrimp and gator are our favorites. We usually drive thru, but it's worth going g in for the free margaritas.

Always great food. I guess because they are always busy (because of the great food), they believe they can forfeit great customer service.

I would not recommend this restaurant. The young lady behide the counter was rude. Our order was not correct. I ask about the catfish and shrimp meal. She said it comes with 2 fish,3 shrimps,2 hushpuppy and fries. My friend also order extra chicKen for a extra $1. My meal was correct. His was order not correct.His meal come with only one catfish . He went to ask the young lady behide the counter about his meal. She said if you order the extra chicken .They take away one of the catfish. Which was not the way their menu reads or what she told him..The young lady got rude and argued with him. They need to learn the customer is always correct. As a service worker you never argue with the customer. She refused to give him the extra catfish. I would not recommend this restaurant. I would rated it a ( -0) because of the service.

Awesome, awesome, awesome place for seafood! I had the shrimp and fish combo....SUPER YUMMY! Fish was fresh and crispy, shrimp was butterflied and delicious. We also had an order of the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were really good with the jalapeno ranch. I really enjoyed the fries, too. They're the skinny kind of fries and were seasoned well, not too salty. I tasted my sister-in-law's crawfish with butter,...really good! Plus....good ol' country music AND free margaritas! Definitely will be returning soon!

Fresh hot food, you always get a nice portion . Always allot of customers because the food is so good and the service. With a Handicapped entry and oatio.They also have a drive through. GOOD FOOD, GOOD SERVICE GOOD PRICE. GOOD GRIEF WHAT ARE YOU STILL SITTING THERE GO GET SOME

Service was very friendly and helpful. The food was quite good. Fried catfish was the thing that stood out as the best: great flavor, cooked well, and the batter was light. Hush puppies were well flavored, though a little dry. Grilled shrimp were flavored and cooked well. Fried oysters were our least favorite thing, as they were just a little over cooked, and the batter was bland. I will definitely be back on my next trip through the area!

I actually LOVED the catch. But i noticed the later you go the more the worse it gets. It’s a great place during the day but around 8 until closing you’ll get half cooked food. My fries are Always uncooked and the breading always come of the fried fish, shrimp or crawfish tails when i pick them up because of it being under cooked.

This place is GREAT!!! If you have been questioning going, just stop, and GO! Yummy!!!!

Such a great place to eat! The seafood was delicious. We ordered The Admiral because it was kind of a sampler of a lot of their foods and it was massive! The two of us got 2 full meals from it. I had also gotten a house salad thinking it was a side salad, but it was a full size, and good, salad. I took some of the fried crawfish from the Admiral and added it to my salad and really enjoyed that. Fried oyster was my favorite. My boyfriend loved it all and he is a very picky eater. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun and the customer service is excellent!! Prices are very fair. It's our new favorite seafood restaurant.

Food was delicious, big variety and very reasonable. So glad crawfish is back in season. My guests from Austin. Tx loved the atmosphere and compared to some of the places they frequent back home. They couldn't believe the free beer and margaritas. Can't beat that. Shout out to our waitress Jordan and management. Will definitely be back

Great food and even better service

My husand and I visited The Catch located on 4th st in Longview and we were very disappointed. We specifically asked for catfish and got swai (Vietnamese catfish not American catfish). The fish was gummy and not good at all This is the second time we've had this problem the first time it was corrected, but the second time it was not corrected, no one could seem to find the fresh catfish and didn't seem happy when we complained so we will not be going back and wouldn't recommend THE CATCH to anyone. The fish on the left is SWAI (Vietnamese Catfish) The fish on the right is (REAL CATFISH) American Cornbread Battered Catfish you can see the difference. This is what we got our first time at THE CATCH when they corrected it.

It's not what it was for sure, I ordered a salad the whole bottom of the plate was water, the lettuce was the bottom middle part that most people throw away, my (grilled) sausage that I did not want spicy was put in the crawfish plate covered in spice and I told the manager and all she could say was oh ....not even I'm sorry, not can I fix it, just oh, my plate is still on the table I did eat the tomatoes from it but that's it

Love this place! The food has been perfect every time and the staff is awesome! The fish and shrimp are cooked to perfection and the gumbo is some of the best I’ve had.

Food was ok, some over cooked, given medium shrimp instead of large butterfly, missing 3 shrimp from order. Check your order before leaving.

They always serve large portion. I had the catfish basket, and I always ask for strips. Their catfish strips are flaky and crunchy. We also tried the fried okra and fried pickles, both were a bit at our table.

If you like fried seafood this is your place the fried shrimp is probably as good as I've ever eaten...they dont have a liquor license so they have free draft beer and free frozen margaritas definitely worth a try bring your appetite the portions are big

I been 3 times in the last month and had a different guest with me everytime. Each time we were completely satisfied with our food and their service. I feel like it's fair price on the food and had several options to choose from. I'm fond of the fish tacos myself.

Crawfish was mush. Not seasoned. Forgot half our order. Free beer was good.

The food is excellent!! The inside is a little small, but the ambiance is good, the folks working there are super friendly and sweet! Once you go, you'll be hooked!!

The service here was good and the food was great. I really enjoyed the mushrooms, sausage, and popcorn shrimp. The free(!) margaritas were also very good!! Our waitress explained that they were technically bottomless, but they couldn't serve us any more if we were drunk. No problem, we each had two and were completely satisfied! Beer was also free, although I didn't ask what kind they had available. We will definitely be returning.

Used the drive thru on a busy Saturday evening. Ordered a medium catfish basket and a large (The prices of this place..$$$) the service was nice. The window lady noticed we had no AC in our truck and offered free cups of ice water while we waited for our food it was a beautiful gesture. The food never displeases me its worth the more expensive price.

We had heard about this place and decided to give it a try. We typically go to the more well known crawfish place an hour or so away from here, but recently we haven't been very pleased with the food or service. We are so pleasantly surprised with The Catch! This place is busy, for good reason. The food was so good, fresh, hot, and cooked to order. The staff was so courteous and nice! Manager came by several times to ask how we were doing. He was running food as well. Oh, and before I forget, you get complimentary beer and margaritas! I think we found our new favorite place!!!

The food was very good. We went on Super Bowl Sunday at 5pm they ran out of crawfish at 5:10 pm no lie. The free margaritas had zero alcohol in them. I had not had a single drink in over a year and I had 5, and felt nothing. So in conclusion, good food but very poor management! Very disappointed!

I paid $80 for spicy crawfish and spicy shrimp and they didn’t season my food at all ! Called back and same lady try CATCH a attitude ! 👎

Fish and shrimp was great. Not overly breaded like most. Food came to our table very hot as expected.

Food was not all there! Order was short!I called as soon as I got home with it and noticed it.They said would replace order within 2 weeks.Second time in 2 months this happened. Bad news now husband and myself are sick, stomachtroubles. I truly liked this place😧 . Now not so.If you can’t handle the drive-thru business Don’t Do It❗️So very disappointed.

Great food at a good price.

The food is good, no doubt. But they only get the order correct about 40% of the time going through drive through. Warning, check your bag to see if it is correct, because they don’t. If you ask for tarter sauce or cocktail sauce, check that as its 50/50 if you get it. It’s a shame that the food is very good but the people at the drive through window don’t check for accuracy. Didn’t think I ever would have to do it, but the best bet is to open everything up and make sure it’s correct while making the cars behind you wait.

One word. Hushpuppies... you could make a meal out of them. I just did. They’re huge! Not spicy. Have corn and other goodness inside.
